Kate ParsonsKate is a Certified Professional Coach and Recovery Specialist who partners with youth and adults, who are open to change, in helping them to make better decisions for a better life. She has a unique way of connecting with people in drawing out their inner solutions and unleashing the power within them to be successful in life.

Kate has over 16-years of experience working with individuals struggling with and recovering from addiction (alcohol, drug, sex, and food).  She has experience with 12-step programs and other recovery approaches. She has supported countless individuals and their loved ones in the recovery process.

Kate received her coaching certification from The Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, one of the few ICF-accredited coaching institutes. She is a member of the International Coach Federation, as well as a member of the ICF Philadelphia chapter.

Kate received her certificate in Alcohol & Drug Counseling from Villanova University.  She is currently working on obtaining her certification as a Recovery Specialist (certification expected June, 2014).

Prior to establishing her practice, Kate was an Executive at GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals where, during her 34-year career, she gained a broad experience in leadership, coaching, mentoring, program / project management, and process development / improvement.

Kate spent five of those years in London where she was responsible for coordinating services in Europe. Travelling throughout Europe, Asia, and Africa gave Kate experience in working with and living in diverse cultures.

In addition to her business responsibilities, Kate coached and mentored executives, managers, staff members and young adults entering the workforce. Kate facilitated an internal training program for senior and line leaders to increase their use of coaching in delivering sustainable business results.

Kate lives in Chester County with her Schnoodle, Shenan, where they love to hike, kayak, and read.
